Free Legal Programs
The Lafayette Bar Foundation provides pro bono (free) legal programs to educate and guide the indigent, low-income, vulnerable, or disadvantaged within our community. These programs do not, in any way, replace the professional services that can be provided by hiring an attorney. In fact, should you have the means to hire an attorney, we strongly suggest you do so. Through the assistance of grants funded by the Louisiana Bar Foundation and Acadiana Legal Service Corporation, the Lafayette Bar Foundation is able to assist women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, the newly unemployed, and disaster victims by providing these pro bono legal services that educate and guide them on particular legal matters.
Click on the programs below to learn more about them. For more information, contact the Lafayette Bar at (337) 237-4700.
