About the AssociationThe Lafayette Bar Association has been serving the legal profession and public since its formation in 1969. Today, it serves over 900 members by providing helpful resources that promote understanding and a sense of community among legal professionals. The membership consists of lawyers in Lafayette and surrounding parishes, ranging from solo practitioners to those practicing in large firms. The LBA is funded through membership dues, networking events, and continuing legal education programs. It is the mission of the LBA to serve members and the community by promoting justice, professional excellence, and fellowship among attorneys and the court.
