About Us...
Heather K. Walker joined Davidson, Meaux, Sonnier & McElligott in August of 2002 as an associate. Her primary areas of practice include general litigation, insurance defense and railroad defense litigation. Additionally, Ms. Walker has experience in class action environmental suits as well as international litigation.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Ms. Walker attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in French in 1996. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Ms. Walker worked for several years in the teaching field. She then received her law degree from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May 2002.
Ms. Walker is admitted to practice in the Louisiana State Courts as well as the United States Federal Courts of Louisiana, including the Eastern, Middle and Western District Courts and the U.S. Fifth Circuit of Appeal. Ms. Walker is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
